Dear Readers,
This issue of our magazine comes out at the same time as an important event, the Interpack trade fair, which again this year is being held in Düsseldorf, from 21 to 27 April. This international fair is very important for us, as it has become the most
prestigious showcase for our sector.
Along with the reliable 1500mm-wide Cracker Line, and following on from our presence at the last IBA fair in October 2003, we shall again be confirming our commitment to the high-added-value product sector by presenting a highly flexible wirecut-extruder
machine. This is our response to specific and eager demand in this area of the market. We want to have our say in this sector too. But I will let you peruse our "On Show" feature to find out more.
Let us express one consideration out loud: the revaluation of the euro against the dollar does not assist the export of products made in Europe towards those countries in the American sphere of economic influence under the influence of the american
currency. Despite this penalizing factor, we have not been adversely affected by the unfavourable situation, for we have actually posted positive sales trends in those areas that normally purchase in US
dollars. This is a further demonstration that Imaforni processing lines offer advantages capable of prompting biscuit bakeries to invest in more advanced and more reliable technologies, with production lines that are more competitive in terms of production, maintenance and depreciation costs.
We would thus suggest you read the "Testimonial" section where Mr Butt, managing director of EBM Pakistan, explains in his own words what aspects they took into consideration when choosing Imaforni as their partner.
We have not yet talked about Eastern European countries: they are a fast-growing market where Imaforni has a long established presence. In the "Case History" feature, you can read an interesting introduction to the Lider Artur company in Poland and admire many photos of their delicious and elaborate products.
We look forward to welcoming you at our stand and hope to enjoy a glass of excellent local wine with you as we discuss your projects.
Kindest regards
Demetrio Castello, Ugo Bademer
